- Molly-Mae Hague has revealed the unexpected inspiration behind the name of her newborn son.
- The 27-year-old and her partner Tommy Fury named their second child Midas, with the Love Island star clarifying in a YouTube video it was “not necessarily” after the Greek mythological king.
- Hague explained the name was inspired by a robot character called Midas from the “random” 2011 film Real Steel , which features Hugh Jackman.
- She added: “This was years ago and I heard the name and was like ‘wow, that’s a really, cool strong name’ and I’d never heard of it before. I just thought Midas Fury was such a strong name and then I mentioned it to Tommy and he just absolutely fell in love with it.”
- The name Midas was publicly revealed earlier this month when Tommy Fury wore it on his boxing shirt and shorts during a fight in Manchester.
