INSANE: Much loved nottinghamshire cafe closes for good | Rare Historical Photos

A much-loved neighbourhood cafe is closing for good from today - Wednesday, July 13 - so the owner can spend more time with her young family. Albie's in Carlton opened in a former jewellery shop in December 2019 just months before the first pandemic lockdown.

The cafe, in Carlton Hill, was popular with customers seeking breakfast, lunch, tapas, cake or just a good cup of coffee. The evenings frequently hosted the pop-ups for up-and-coming chefs.

But owner Anna Horsley has called time on the small, laid back, cafe, announcing the doors would be closed from today. The business was put up for sale in May.
