A much-loved stepdad died after eating duck eggs he bought at a horse show. Niptoon Tavakoli passed away in hospital two months after falling ill complaining of sickness and diarrhoea after contracting salmonella linked to duck eggs.
The 65-year-old had eaten the eggs after buying them from Messingham Show in North Lincolnshire five days before he became ill. Following his death, Niptoon’s wife, Cheryl, 63, instructed lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to help investigate and support the family through an inquest. Niptoon, of Yorkshire, was also a stepfather to Andrew and Paul.
Approaching three years on from his death an inquest is now due to be held. Cheryl is hoping the inquest will provide some answers about her husband's death, reports Yorkshire Live.
