A mum took her baby boy to hospital six times in the space of a week before the family was handed a devastating diagnosis.
Beth Reilly, 23, first suspected there was something wrong with Bailey, one, when he began to display "flu-like" symptoms and started to fall over a lot at home. When the symptoms persisted, Beth took him to hospital, where she was reassured that everything was fine.
The mum-of-one, from Wallasey, told the ECHO : "Bailey was covered in bruises but we thought he was just learning to walk and so it was normal. It went on for about three weeks so I decided to take him to hospital.
