July nat-gas Monday recovered from early losses and posted modest gains on forecasts for hotter-than-usual temperatures this week in Texas, the largest nat-gas consuming state. Nat-gas prices Monday initially moved lower after updated U.S. weather forecasts shifted milder, signaling nat-gas demand from electricity providers will decline on the reduced need to power air conditioning. Forecaster Atmospheric G2 said below-normal temperatures are expected through next week across most of the eastern and western U.S. states.
