FORGOTTEN HISTORY: New arsenal signing fabio vieira already given an embarrassing nickname - Caught on Camera

New signing Fabio Vieira may only have been at Arsenal for less than 24 hours, but has already earned a nickname.

The £34million man from Porto was on Tuesday unveiled by the club, becoming their third summer signing but first key recruit to Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad.

The 22-year-old, who can play in a number of midfield additions, is understood to have signed a five-year deal.

Vieira joins Arsenal with a familiar face in Nuno Tavares already in the ranks, no doubt making his adjustment to life in England and London easier.

That is, until, Vieira’s nickname comes to light.

In a quite uncanny, but hardly flattering, comparison, Tavarares pointed up Vieira’s resemblance to a Prison Break character, the unfortunately named ‘T-Bag’. Also known by the less intimidating moniker Theodore Bagwell, ‘T-Bag’ is one of the most notorious characters in the TV series.

Luckily, though, no offence was taken and Vieira can likely look forward to being referred to as ‘T-Bag’ for the next five years.
