The new garda uniform will be worn by gardai for the first time today.
Garda Commissioner Dew Harris will attend the launch of the new uniform at Tallaght Garda Station this morning. The new contemporary uniform has already delivered to 13,000 garda members across 560 stations.
The change of uniform comes during the 100th anniversary year of the founding of the gardai. It is only the third time the uniform has been changed.
