Rarely in the NHL does a significant trade work out for both teams involved, but recent moves by the Washington Capitals, Los Angeles Kings, and Winnipeg Jets have defied the odds. The trades made over consecutive summers have proven beneficial for all parties.
Winnipeg Jets showcased their success with a goal from Alex Iafallo, acquired in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois sent to Los Angeles in June 2023. Dubois, now with the Capitals, continued his impressive performance by scoring in the recent game. The Kings, who received goaltender Darcy Kuemper in the trade, secured a victory against Carolina with Kuemper making 26 saves.
