NAGPUR: In a major boost to city’s public transport, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is all set to procure 100 electric buses by Diwali 2022. “The civic body will procure the buses with funds received from 15th Finance Commission,” municipal commissioner Radhakrishnan B told TOI.
NMC is also planning to procure a few double decker buses, which will ply on specific routes and especially take commuters to heritage sites across the city. It will join the city bus fleet sometime in 2023, he said.
