There is no set date for the issuing of this year’s Junior Certificate results, a spokesperson from the State Examinations Commission (SEC) has said.
The Junior Cert results were traditionally provided in mid-September before the pandemic but the issuing of grades has changed significantly since then. The Leaving Cert results, which are routinely released in mid-August, came out at the start of September this year.
The SEC told RTÉ that Junior Cert results would not be issued until they were aware of the number of appeals that had been lodged for Leaving Cert exam results. The deadline for appeal applications was this Monday. Several people have criticised the delayed release of Junior Cert results online, saying it is unfair on students who are anxiously awaiting their grades.
