CUTTACK: A special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) court here on Tuesday expressed concern that despite new legislations, incidents of rape of minor girls continue unabated.
Presiding judge Subash Kumar Behari expressed concern while sentencing a 35-year-old man to "imprisonment for remainder of his natural life" following conviction of kidnap and rape of a 15-year-old girl in 2019. The victim had in the process become pregnant and had given birth to a child.
