BHOPAL: In a breather for political parties in local polls, the poll panel has told them there is no need to submit list of star campaigners. This decision has come as a relief for parties which are busy fire-fighting the discontent among ticket contenders.
Local bodies’ election is no different from the assembly or Lok Sabha polls. From expenditure limits of candidates to use of EMVs for local bodies’ and installing CCTV cameras in strong rooms, besides broadcasting jingles at cinema houses, facebook pages of urban bodies, whatsapp groups and vehicles to make voters aware, the pre-poll and after poll preparations are almost the same. The parties too are coming up with separate manifestos for municipal corporations.
