FOUND: Nottinghamshire police cordon around fire hit former school after young people gather - What They Never Told You

A cordon has been placed around a former school in Newark following a fire. Last week, on May 30, emergency services were called to London Road, Newark, at around 5.20pm after receiving reports that a building was on fire.

The building where the incident happened was where the former Lilley and Stone School used to be based, it is an unused site. Now, a cordon is in place as police currently investigate to establish the cause of the fire.

Officers say they have previously received reports of young people gathering at the former school, with the derelict building now being declared unsafe to enter. Nottinghamshire Police have warned young people to stay clear of the derelict building site going forward.
