A province in Canada has filed legal action against OpenAI following a school shooting in a small mining town earlier this year.

The government of British Columbia allege that the mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge in February, which left eight dead, could have been prevented if the AI firm warned law enforcement about the shooter’s conversations with ChatGPT.
