After transforming the world of weight loss, Ozempic could play a key role in reshaping addiction treatment. The weight loss drug not only helps curb appetite but also suppresses cravings for alcohol, a new study published in JAMA Psychiatry has found.
The trial done on 48 people could establish that having semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic, can prevent people from binge drinking and in turn help them reduce alcohol consumption.
