Liam Paro's hopes of landing a second world title are on hold with his IBF eliminator rival Paddy Donovan withdrawing from their January showdown due to illness.

The welterweight pair were set to square off at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on January 16 as the co-main event of the highly anticipated Nikita Tszyu-Michael Zerafa card.
