KOLKATA: “Every young footballer dreams of playing for India,” was how Parthib Gogoi — named for the first time by Igor Stimac among the probables for the crucial World Cup qualifiers — put it when asked about his national team aspirations.
“Playing for India is always a different kind of feeling. All of us have a lot of passion for playing in national colours. There is this feeling that we will give our lives to win the game for India. So that’s the feeling I get and get connected emotionally when representing India.”
