Collingwood captain Darcy Moore is "extremely optimistic" about his side's prospects next season and beyond despite a crushing preliminary final defeat.
Moore has no doubt the Magpies were good enough to go all the way this year, after finishing fourth on the ladder and winning a qualifying final.
