UNBELIEVABLE: Planning requested to develop william wallace memorial in lanark | History Defined

William Wallace Lanark

A planning application has been made to create a William Wallace memorial site in Lanark.

The application was received by South Lanarkshire Council on March 31 and seeks to create a public art memorial project on the site of Wallace’s former home in Castlegate in Lanark.

The proposal aims to deliver a heritage interpretation and public art project to add to the Lanark streetscape and act as a visitor attraction.
