Times Square in New York City was the scene of a brutal beating of two police officers on Saturday night, carried out by a group of individuals identified as illegal immigrants. The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about public safety in the area. The assailants were subsequently released due to the city's no bail laws, which has further fueled the public's frustration.
Former New York City mayoral candidate and founder of the Guardian Angels, Curtis Lee, expressed his concern over the incident. He criticized Mayor Eric Adams for his perceived lax immigration policies, claiming that the influx of illegal aliens has led to the formation of gangs in Times Square. Lee alleged that the illegal immigrants were being housed in local hotels at the cost of $400 per night, adding to their presence and potential for criminal activities.
