A popular pub will soon start improvement works after the council approved fresh plans. The Rose & Crown on Derby Road, Lenton has recently received permission to construct a new pergola for punters.
On June 7, Nottingham City Council gave the go-ahead for the installation of a covered roof pergola to the pub. However, the pub had to change its plans to relocate from the originally planned location at the front of the pub to the rear.
The planned installation of a 75-inch all weather freestanding TV was also scrapped. A council report stated the pergola had been relocated in order to reduce concerns that it would detract from "the character of the host building which is considered to be of some historic interest".
