The coalition, known as Reject AIPAC, comprises Jewish peace groups, Arab American, and Muslim organizations, which have mobilized extensively since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in October.
The primary focus of Reject AIPAC is to counter the substantial financial backing pledged by political action committees like the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) to challenge Democratic members, particularly those belonging to the progressive 'squad,' in upcoming primaries and elections. The infusion of funds from AIPAC has transformed traditionally Democratic strongholds into fiercely contested battlegrounds.
