Gardai believe a ramming incident in Patrickswell, Co Limerick, on Wednesday night, is unconnected to a similar ramming incident involving several cars in Rathkeale last Monday.
The separate violent incidents have involved members of the Travelling community who are involved in disputes or feuding, reliable sources said.
Two rival groups involved in a historical dispute came together at a premises in the Limerick hurling heartland village of Patrickswell around 8.30pm last night, and a number of cars were rammed on the Main Street.
