Wilson speculated that Adele may hold animosity towards her for this reason, although she admitted to never directly addressing the issue with the Grammy-winning artist.
Wilson recounted several encounters with Adele at various events, claiming that Adele would allegedly avoid her by quickly turning away when approached. Wilson humorously suggested that Adele may have been wary of being compared to Wilson's character 'Fat Amy' from the 'Pitch Perfect' franchise, joking that Adele might fear her 'fatness' rubbing off on her.
