September arabica coffee (KCU25) on Wednesday closed down -3.10 (-1.05%), and September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) closed up +66 (+1.97%).
Coffee prices settled mixed on Wednesday, with robusta coffee climbing to a 2-week high. Arabica coffee was under pressure for a second day Wednesday after Commerce Secretary Lutnick said Tuesday that Brazil's coffee beans may be exempt from tariffs, easing supply concerns. Coffee prices had risen on concern that a 50% tariff on Brazilian goods could potentially raise coffee prices sharply and disrupt supplies from Brazil, the world's largest producer of arabica coffee.
