If Houston decides to move on from Stephen Silas, longtime Raptors head coach Nick Nurse could be in play for the Rockets in the 2023 offseason. according to Toronto Star reporter Doug Smith.
The Rockets hold a team option on Silas’ contract for the 2023-24 season, which could it make it a financially convenient time to move on, should they choose to do so. Houston has had one of the NBA’s two worst records in each of Silas’ three seasons with the team, though the team’s rebuilding movement with one of the league’s youngest rosters is obviously out of his control.
