National League side Wrexham's Hollywood co-owner Rob McElhenney has jokingly claimed that he has 'never heard' of Manchester City while sharing a statistic on the Blues' points-per-game record this season.
McElhenney, who is best known for playing Mac in American sitcom Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has co-owned North Wales' fifth-tier club alongside fellow actor Ryan Reynolds, since 2021. After missing out on promotion last season following a defeat to Grimsby Town, Wrexham have managed to push on this year.
The Red Dragons returned to the summit of the National League in midweek thanks to a 2-1 victory over Chesterfield. Following the match, McElhenney shared a table of the most points collected per game in England and Wales' top five tiers.
