Scientists are developing a 'blockbuster' cure for heart attacks using the same technology as the Covid-19 vaccine.
Researchers from King's College London are working on regenerating damaged hearts in the hope of developing a cure for heart attacks - with human trials set to begin within two years.
The project has identified genetic codes which make proteins to stimulate the creation of healthy heart cells, which can then be delivered to the heart muscle after a heart attack using the same technology as the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
