HYDERABAD: As transactions on various blockchain networks increase, one of the challenges is the ability of the network to support multiple transactions per second.

Currently the high cost of transactions is a major deterrent on many blockchain networks. To solve this problem, cryptopreneurs Nischal Shetty, who founded the country’s largest crypto exchange WazirX, and Omar Syed on Wednesday announced a new open source project called Shardeum.
