A man who bashed a rough sleeper to death with a rock was not mentally impaired enough to absolve him of criminal responsibility for the killing, a jury has found.

Kevin James Pettiford admitted to the murder in a chilling confession to police, but he later pleaded not guilty on the grounds of mental impairment.
