ORLANDO, Fla. — SpaceX sent up its 14th rocket from the Space Coast this year with a launch at sunset Friday just hours after its sent up a Falcon 9 in California setting a record turnaround time for Elon Musk’s company.
The second Falcon 9 launch carrying two satellites for Luxembourg-based communications company SES lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40 at 7:38 p.m.
The SES 18 and SES 19 satellites built by Northrop Grumman will add to SES’s C-band television and data services for the United States. SES has been a common SpaceX customer including becoming its first commercial customer in 2013, and the first to fly on a reused booster in 2017.
