This is the moment a man led police on a high-speed chase the wrong way up the M6.
Dashcam footage from Cheshire Police shows the moment David Houghton, from Liverpool, sped away after officers tried to stop him when they suspected he did not have a licence. Police first spotted the white Volkswagen Transporter he was driving at around 1.17pm on Wednesday, April 6, on the M6 southbound near to junction 21 (Woolston Interchange).
Houghton initially pulled off the motorway onto the A57 roundabout and appeared to stop for officers. However, he then made off at speed and led police on three dangerous pursuits across the county.
