Selectors will wait to make a call on Marnus Labuschagne's Test future as Australia braces for a batting squeeze in the World Test Championship final and beyond.
It comes as in-form Steve Smith urges selectors to keep the faith in Labuschagne, saying it was not long ago he was in a similar predicament to the faltering No.3.
Labuschagne's lukewarm form continued in Australia's 2-0 series defeat of Sri Lanka, with the Queenslander making scores of 20 and 4 in his first two knocks.
