Was Spotify down for you today? You weren't alone – thousands of users around the world reported issues with the music streaming app, with the problems encompassing everything from the web player to the app's homepage.

Reports on Downdetector started spiking at around 8am ET / 1pm BST today, with almost 50,000 Spotify users reporting problems in the US at the peak of the problems – with many other regions including the UK also flagging issues in the global outage.
