Stagecoach has today cancelled a number of services in Bristol, with the cancellations running into tomorrow (Tuesday, July 19) too. A list of services no longer operating has been released on its website, along with an apology 'for any inconvenience this may cause'.
It comes as GWR warns of disruptions to some rail services, due to the extreme heat weather warnings in place for today and tomorrow. Also, FirstBus drivers have been allowed to 'ditch' their uniforms as temperatures reach around 35C.
The extreme heat warning which has been issued for Bristol could bring 'danger to life'. The amber weather warning has been regarded as a rare occurrence by the Met Office which reportedly could lead to widespread impacts on people and infrastructure.
