The first trailer for 'The Acolyte' is here. The latest chapter in the "Star Wars" franchise is arriving on Disney Plus on June 4 and we finally have a serious look at what to expect.

After watching this trailer, the collective response from the Tom's Guide team was ... divided. Honestly, that's putting it mildly. After many of us watched the trailer, reactions ranged from excited, intrigued and impressed to disappointed to two thumbs down. After this conversation devolved into a 15-30 minute discussion about "Star Wars" writ large, it was clear that the trailer for this show set in the High Republic era stirred something in us.
