Mitchell Starc has implored officials not to touch Australia's Test summer as part of considerations around maximising the star power of the Big Bash League.

Starc confirmed on Thursday he planned to play in the BBL for the first time in 11 years this summer, set for a stint with the Sydney Sixers after the Ashes.
