Residents of the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles woke up to a heartbreaking scene of destruction following a treacherous wildfire that swept through the area. The once-lush neighborhood now lay charred and unrecognizable, with homes smoldered and streets emptied.
While some, like actor-producer Steve Guttenberg, were fortunate to find their properties miraculously spared, many others were not as lucky. Guttenberg described the devastation as the worst he's ever seen in his 66 years, with approximately 20 homes in his 80-home community burned 'pretty bad' by the wind-whipped fires.
