The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is down -0.50%, the Dow Jones Industrials Index ($DOWI) (DIA) is down -0.84%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is down -0.72%.

US stocks today gave up an early advance and turned lower on US economic concerns after weekly jobless claims rose to a nearly 1-year high and manufacturing activity in July unexpectedly contracted by the most in 8 months.
