TV presenter Helen Skelton was left "stranded" after having problems starting her electric car.

She told her fans on Instagram how she was unable to start her vehicle on Monday evening. The 39-year-old had been catching up with Strictly Come Dancing partner Gorka Marquez when she was making the trip home.

However, her started having issues with her car and shared the bad news with her Instagram followers as she sat in the vehicle. She wrote: "I thought electric cars were the future."
