EXPLAINED: Sugar prices slip on dollar strength - The Real Truth

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK25) today is down -0.13 (-0.67%), and May London ICE white sugar #5 (SWK25) is down -3.00 (-0.55%).

Sugar prices today are moderately lower as strength in the dollar (DXY00) weighs on most commodity prices, including sugar.  Sugar prices have rallied over the past two weeks, with NY sugar posting a 1-month high last Tuesday and London sugar posting a 4-month high on signs of lower global sugar production.
