The Martin County sheriff’s office recently released bodycam footage capturing the apprehension of Ryan Wesley Routh on an interstate in Florida. Routh, the suspect, was believed to be planning an attack on former President Donald Trump while he was playing golf on Sunday.
The incident unfolded when a Secret Service agent noticed the barrel of a rifle protruding from a fence near Trump’s golf club. The agent engaged the suspect, identified as Routh, prompting a swift response from authorities. Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw revealed that the agent fired at Routh, who was reportedly within 500 yards of Trump at the time.
