HISTORICAL FACTS: Suspect named by police after van crashes into roundabout - The Untold Story

Police have charged a man from Bromborough after a van collided with a roundabout in Bebington yesterday morning.

A man, 60, from Bromborough, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of drug driving after police received reports of a van colliding with a roundabout just off Broadway in Bebington at around 10.25am that morning. No injuries were caused by the collision though the driver was detained and taken to a police station.

Police have since named the suspect as Howard Evans, of Malcolm Cresent, Bromborough. And this morning they confirmed Evans has been charged with failure to provide a specimen.

He will appear at Wirral Magistrates Court on Monday, September 26.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO: "Howard Evans, 60, of Malcolm Crescent, Bromborough, [has been] charged with failing to provide a specimen.

"He was bailed to appear at court in Wirral on September 26."
