UNCOVERED: Thais urged to register sim cards soon | History Defined

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has called on mobile phone users to finish mandatory SIM identity verification and update their information by Aug 30 as it seeks to combat mule accounts and technology crime.

Mobile operators and users have to verify their identities as authorities target mule SIMs and registrations that do not match the actual user.

Failure to comply with the mandate by the end of August results in immediate service limitations.
