The guy who gets served first at a packed bar probably isn’t waving a credit card, snapping his fingers, or shouting his drink order over the music. He may simply be making the bartender’s job easier. In a crowded room, small behaviors can help a customer stand out without making everyone else hate him.
Bartenders juggle drink orders, payments, spills, questions, and customers who change their minds halfway through ordering. They cannot remember every face or give everyone immediate attention. But a customer who communicates clearly and respects the flow of service can make a better impression than someone who treats the bar like a personal emergency.
