BIZARRE: The pitt star isa briones calls out theatergoer who shouted dr santos at her mid broadway performance - You Need To See This

The Pitt star Isa Briones has scolded a fan who inappropriately shouted, “Dr. Santos,” at her during a recent Broadway performance of Just in Time.

Briones, 27, who portrays the caustic Dr. Santos on the Emmy-winning medical drama, is currently in a limited-run engagement, taking over for Sarah Hyland as “Stupid Cupid” singer Connie Francis in the immersive Broadway jukebox musical.

While her appearance has attracted many eager Pitt fans, it has also caused some disruptions, including one attendee who apparently yelled at her while she was on stage.

In a since-expired Instagram Story captured and shared on Reddit, Briones called out the disrespectful behavior, insisting that “some people need to brush up on theater etiquette.”

“Do not talk to the performers while they are performing on stage (unless you have been asked to). And don’t talk to me on stage and call me Dr. Santos. I’m not Dr. Santos. I’m not even Connie Francis. I am Isa Briones, one of the actors in the show you have paid to enjoy,” she wrote.

“So watch it respectfully. You are not a kid at Disneyland. You are an adult man at a Broadway show. Act like it,” she concluded, alongside a finger heart emoji.

Briones kicked off her limited run April 1 as the late “Pretty Little Baby” singer and actor and is expected to continue in the role through the spring. Just in Time is a new and immersive biomusical production about the life of Bobby Darin. It received six Tony nominations at the 2025 awards show, including Best Leading Actor for Jonathan Groff, who originated the role of Darin.

Groff exited his role March 29. His Glee co-star Matthew Morrison has taken over in the interim until Groff’s successor, Jeremy Jordan, formally steps in beginning April 21.

Just in Time marks Briones’s second time on Broadway. She made her debut in March 2024, alongside her father, Jon Jon Briones, in Hadestown, the folk opera and reimagining of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, set against the backdrop of a jazz-infused underworld.

Briones starred as Eurydice, while her father portrayed the narrator Hermes.

Meanwhile, The Pitt is preparing to air its season two finale April 16 on HBO Max. The acclaimed series, about a team of medical doctors and nurses running a chaotic emergency room in Pittsburgh, has been renewed for a third season, with an expected premiere in January 2027.
