John Bishop may be known for his broad Liverpudlian accent but now lives in a sleepy town in the south of England.
The comedian, who was born in Liverpool before moving to Cheshire, shot to fame in the early noughties with a successful career as a stand-up comic and in-demand actor.
In 2019, the Bishop family were forced to sell their Georgian mansion in Cheshire by the government's High-Speed Rail project. The seven-bedroom property was built in the 1780s and was sold to the Department of Transport for £6.8m - £4m more than John purchased it for.
