As someone who works from home fairly regularly, I understand firsthand the importance of having a designated at-home workspace. But more often than not, that workspace can feel like the focal point of a room – drawing unwanted attention to work-related matters and undermining the room's aesthetic with its utilitarian setup.
I noticed this exact scenario happening in my apartment. Despite my best efforts to position my WFH setup out of the way, it was starting to look like the statement piece of my small studio – the first thing you'd notice when you walked through the front door. Rather than a space for living, my studio was beginning to feel like a space I designed solely for work.
