The three men arrested in connection with the investigation surrounding an assault in Kildare that saw a man die from his injuries have been released without charge.
The incident, which happened in the early hours of Sunday, August 21, led to the hospitalisation of 29-year-old Dylan McCarthy with serious head injuries which he later died from. His father Eamonn, who is in his fifties, was also badly injured in the attack but his injuries were not life threatening.
The three men who were arrested are all in their 20s and were being held at garda stations in Co Kildare. A file has been prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
