Filming Dune: Part Two has been an arduous endeavor for actor Timothée Chalamet. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 film, Dune, delves further into the journey of Paul Atreides as he embarks on a mission to fulfill a prophecy and avenge his family. Along this treacherous path, Paul must gain the trust of the people of Arrakis while battling formidable forces in the universe. As if these challenges weren't enough, he is also faced with the daunting task of riding a sandworm.
The idea of clinging to a massive sandworm may seem exhilarating, but the process of filming this particular scene for Dune: Part Two proved to be a time-consuming and laborious journey. In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Chalamet revealed that it took a staggering three months to shoot the scene, which would ultimately be condensed to a mere three minutes of screen time. The majority of the sequence was captured using practical effects, as far as it was feasible to do so.
